1.3.1 Chat client requirements.
Garaxi chat run on java enabled web browser such as IE 4.0+, Netscape 4.08+, HotJava or browser that installed embeded JRE.
If your client using Microsoft Windows we recommend you with Microsoft JVM (Java Virtual Machine) instead of Sun JVM.
Because on July,2001 Microsoft Corp. deciced to will not include MSJVM (Microsoft Java Virtual Machine) in Windows XP or subsequent operating systems as part of a phaseout of the JVM following a January out-of-court settlement with Sun Microsystems Inc.
Consumers who buy Windows XP,2003 will not get a JVM with the operating system but will be able to download Microsoft's JVM free from the Microsoft's Website or another website.
That lead the old version of Windows XP,Me and 2003 can't work with java applet.
People can download Sun JVM from Sun's Java website and install, but it's work very very slow and too much memory consume.
So if you or your clients using the old version of Windows XP and 2003 that can't support java applet please consider to use Microsoft JVM instead of Sun JVM
Fortunately, recently (March,2004) Microsoft have agreed that Microsoft may continue to provide product support for the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine that customers have deployed in Microsoft's products until December 31,2007.
That's mean the newer version of Windows XP and 2003 will include MSJVM, so during this period the newer version of XP and 2003 can work correctly with Garaxi chat without any installation of MSJVM or Sun JVM.
So please inform your clients (people who come to chat) about this too. And provide them to download and use MSJVM instead of Sun's JVM so they can load and run the Garaxi Chat (or other applets) faster and less memory consume.
Finally your client will happy , they come back to you and you look good !
